CNN Political Commentator Douglas Heye joins us to discuss the history of the Republican Party and the current state of the party in the lead up to the 2016 election. Heye previously served as deputy chief of staff for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and Communications Director for the Republican National Committee.  He was also a 2015 Resident Fellow for the Harvard Kennedy School’s Institute of Politics and is currently a contributor to the Wall Street Journal. This episode was recorded on May 15th, 2016 on the campus of George Mason University.
